HONEY BIKES

Ride with the Best
Welcome to Phuket – Thailand. Renting a scooter or a bike is almost a must during a stay in Thailand. It is not for nothing that the scooter is one of the most common means of transport here. On motorized 2 wheels you are not only independent, but also very inexpensive. The cost of a scooter in Thailand is very affordable for both tourists and locals, so they characterize the townscape, not only here in Phuket. Although taxi rides in Thailand are very cheap, it is often cheaper to rent a scooter. Having your own vehicle also conveys the feeling of freedom; not only here in Thailand. If you want to explore the country on your own, you can hardly avoid a scooter. Having your own vehicle also gives you the feeling of freedom. This gives you the opportunity to organize day trips individually and to visit hidden places.
At Honey-Bikes you get the perfect „2 wheel companion“ for your vacation or stay in Phuket – Thailand. We speak German, English and of course Thai. Our bikes are well maintained and ready for you. You can reach us around the clock, we are of course at your side with advice and action and offer you everything so that you feel comfortable during your best time in Thailand.

Good to Know
If you want to rent a moto bike in Thailand, you need an international driving license. Since May 1, 2021, the ordinary international driving license according to the Vienna Convention of 1968 is sufficient. The easiest way is to contact your „Touring Club“ before the start of your trip.
It is also important to have the correct driver’s license class. While in Austria/Germany you can also drive mopeds and scooters up to 45 km/h and 50 ccm with a car driving license (class B), in Thailand you need at least driving license class A1 / “small motorcycle” driving license up to 125 ccm.
However, we wouldn’t be in Thailand if everything wasn’t a little different here: Even some police checks don’t ask for your driver’s license. We know from rare individual cases that a fine of 500 – 1,000 THB (approx. € 13 to € 30) is imposed if you do not have the correct driver’s license.
It can be significantly more expensive in the event of an accident. If you don’t have a valid driver’s license, the insurance company can refuse to pay for the damage. It is therefore strongly recommended to comply with the official requirements for riding a scooter in Thailand and to take out comprehensive insurance cover when you rent a scooter – with „Honey-Bikes“ you will be fully advised and equipped on the road.
